Smooth Talker
The Smooth Talker is the most versatile single and sequential message communicator on the market. It has eight minutes of recording time, superior digital sound quality from twin speakers and a low switch profile angled towards the user for easy activation.
Smooth Talker has six playback modes:
- Single: Play a single message.
- Sequence: Play multiple messages in order.
- Random: Play multiple messages in a random order.
Users can access the other three modes by connecting a wired or wireless SW-Switch:
- Choice: Choose from two messages, each switch playing a different message.
- Converse: Use with two users – one with the Smooth Talker, the other with the external switch, alternating switch presses to play their messages back and forth. Pressing your switch when it's not your turn will prevent your message from playing. Ideal for turn taking skills.
- Prompt: Auditory step scanning with an external switch plays the sequence of messages at half volume. Press the Smooth Talker switch to “select” and play that message at full volume.
Now with levels!
The same Smooth Talker, but with five levels provides even more prerecorded communication opportunities with nine playback modes.
- Single: Play a single message.
- Sequence: Play multiple messages in order.
- Random: Play multiple messages in a random order.
- Random (no repeats): Play a series of messages in a random order, with no message repetition. The series restarts once all messages have been played once.
Users can access the five more modes by connecting a wired or wireless SW-Switch:
- Choice: Choose from two messages, each switch playing a different message.
- Choice Progression: Choose between multiple pairs of messages, one pair at a time.
- Converse: Use with two users – one with the Smooth Talker, the other with the external switch, alternating switch presses to play their messages back and forth. Pressing your switch when it's not your turn will prevent your message from playing. Ideal for turn taking skills.
- Prompt: Auditory step scanning with an external switch plays the sequence of messages at half volume. Press the Smooth Talker switch to “select” and play that message at full volume.
- Question & Answer: Use with two users – one with the Smooth Talker switch, the other with the external switch. One user presses the Smooth Talker to speak a “question”, then the other presses the external switch to give an “answer.” Repeat this process with more questions and answers. Before moving on, users can repeat their question or answer multiple times, allowing for reiteration and reinforcement.
Wireless SW-Switches interface with the Smooth Talker, for all the two-switch mode options are low profile and come in 3” or 5” sizes.
Smooth Talker is also now rechargeable with a built-in rechargeable lithium battery and comes with a USB mini cable.
